BN-CPE-IP Setup

BN-CPE-IP is an IP monitoring service provided by the Bumblebee platform. In this service, the Bumblebee platform conducts periodic ping tests to a configured IP address or DNS name. It alerts the operations team when the IP becomes unreachable.

One use case is to enter the IP address of the on-premises firewall or router. The Bumblebee platform monitors the reachability of this IP address and, when it becomes unreachable, assumes the site or WAN link is down and alerts the team.

Follow the following two steps to start the service.

Step 1. Create the Service

1. Login to the Bumblebee portal

2. go to Intelligent Edge -> CPE Routers

3. Click + Create Device

4. For Product Code dropdown, select BN-CPE-IP, as shown below

5. Fill in the rest of the fields

6. Click Create

Step 2. Activate the Service

1. Login to the Bumblebee portal

2. go to Intelligent Edge -> CPE Routers

3. Select the device just created in the Step 1.

4. Click Actions -> Activate Service

5. Click Activate
