How to change outage detection timer interval

This document provides instructions on how to change outage detection timer interval.

On the Bumblebee platform, the default timer interval for detecting an outage is 1 minute, that is, if the Bumblebee portal does not receive keep alive from a site for one minute, it starts to do further investigation and when confirmed, declare the WAN Link down.

This default timer interval can be configured on the per site level. To do so, follow the steps below.

1. Login to the Bumblebee platform

2. Click Internet NIDs on the left navigation bar

3. Select a site by clicking the row where the site is shown

4. Click Actions -> Edit Down Notification Interval

5. Type in a number that represents the desired time interval in minutes. For example, 5 represents 5 minutes interval.

6. Click Save
