This document explains how to create event notifications to alert all parties when an event such as WAN outage occurs.
Event notifications such as WAN link outage alerts are sent to the following email list
Account operations event notification emails
Entity event notification emails where the site CPE is assigned to.
When neither of above is setup, event notification email goes to the root account owner.
As an example, account owner represents a service provider and an entity represents a client or customer with multiple sites. Account operations notifications are for the service provider operations team and the entity notifications are for the customer IT staff.
Account Operations Event Notification Emails
As an example, a service provider creates the email alert list to notify its operations teams whenever a WAN outage occurs at any site with a Bumblebee device.
Follow the steps below.
Login to the Bumblebee portal
Click the Operations on the left navigation menu
Input one or more emails for the field Emails with a comma separating between each one
Click Update Notifications
Entity Event Notification Emails
Since entity typically represents a customer, alert emails for an entity are delivered to the IT staff of the entity whenever an outage occurs at a site assigned to the entity.
Follow the steps below.
Login to the Bumblebee portal
Click Entity on the left navigation menu
Input one or more emails for the field Event Notification Emails with a comma separating between each one
