What is the Intelligent Edge?
The Bumblebee Intelligent Edge is a SaaS platform that manages customers' WAN links by providing demarcation, alerting and monitoring capabilities. It consists of two components: the customer premise device and the portal, as shown in the diagram below.
The supported customer premise devices are CPE for Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) and NID for Metro Ethernet.
The portal manages the life cycle of the devices, from creating the device, provisioning to alerting and monitoring. Monitoring includes WAN health, link utilization, application and application performance.
In addition, BN-CPE-IP is a portal service that does the WAN health monitoring only.
