Intelligent Edge Dashboards

Updated: 6 days ago

Intelligent Edge Dashboards provide visibility and insight to the data traffic passing through CPEs. The Dashboards consist of group of dashboard each dedicated to a answer specific questions.

Below is the list of dashboard.

Map View

Map View dashboard answers the question of how many devices do I have and where are they located.

Map View provides visual display of CPE and edge devices on a global map in the background. It also provides summary counts of different types of products deployed.

WAN Health

WAN Link Health dashboard answers the question of how is my WAN link doing? Is it up, down or flaky, and why? What is the latency, measured in round trip time (RTT) between my site and the ISP default gateway? What is my WAN link up time?

WAN Link Health monitors the health of the last mile WAN link between the ISP router and the CPE. It measures latency, jitter and packet loss. Using these collected data, we generate a WAN link health score from 100% to 0%, where 100% represents no packet loss, jitter less than 2 times the average RTT, and 0% represents a network down.

In addition, CPE also sends keep alive messages to the Bumblebee portal and alert customers when a link down event and up events are detected. These link events are logged for later retrieval.

If you are alerted (via email or Webhook application notification), login to the Bumblebee portal and check the WAN Link Health dashboard. You should observe some link health drop to below 100%.

WAN Utilization

WAN Link Utilization dashboard answers the question of how much provisioned link bandwidth is used by actual traffic. Is the link bandwidth under provisioned? Should we upgrade to a higher bandwidth link? Is my link idle all the time?

Application Highlights

Application Insights dashboard answers the question of what are the top applications the site is accessing? How are the applications distributed? How many Mice flows (short sessions with less than 2KB of data transferring) verses Elephant flows (long sessions with more than 100MB of data transferring).

Performance Insights

Performance Insights dashboard answers the questions of what are the applications going through the site at any given time. What are the qualities of these sessions, are there packet drops (TCP retransmission), receiver side congestion or server side slowness?
