This document describes the privileged functions available only to root account owners.
Global MFA Enforcement Setting
The root account owner can improve account security by enforcing MFA login for all IAM users.
To configure this setting, log in to the portal as the root account. Click the login panel in the top right corner. The Account Settings page should appear as shown below.

Navigate to Global Settings. Check the slider for Enforce MFA
Inactivity Lock Setting
The root account owner can enhance account security by turning on the option to automatically disable any IAM user that has not logged in for a specified number of days.
To enable the Inactivity Lock feature, the root account owner clicks the Inactivity Lock slider as shown in the screenshot above, specifies the number of days of inactivity, and then clicks Update.
To reactivate an IAM user, the root account owner navigates to the IAM page under Systems in the left main navigation menu, selects the IAM user, and clicks Actions → Reactivate.
